  1. OK Folks, this is the fourth or fifth time that I have had to rebuild my computer OS and each time that I have done it I have had to go through a different setup/guide for setting up my capture card to record. Yes, I have an old card (ATI PCI TV Card (VE)) but it works. My dilemma, like I said, is that every time that I have had to go through this I end up finding a different version of how to set it up using different versions of ATI’s MMC. I have been using version 7.1 but the new guide states enough warnings about sound and video quality that I have tried newer versions. My problem is that the newer versions don’t seem to see my TV card or my DVD player. What gives? Will or should the newer versions work with my TV card? Anybody got any suggestions (besides get a more current piece of hardware)?

    Thanks,

    AL D.

  2. So I am discovering from reading other posts that the TV card I have really sucks along with the ATI software. What do some of you think of the current ATI All-In-Wonder video card setups?

ATI Cards are the best, I use MMC 9.6, and i think thats the best version (it's also latest).

But, I don't use MMC, I use VirtualVCR, I think thats the best capture program for AVI.

  4. Thanks Torrential, I have downloaded Virtual VCR and plan to check it out over the weekend. I now need some guidance on setting up video capture with MMC 7.1. That will be a new thread.
