Hi there hhhhbk,
Have you tried svp? They have a few G04 disks (http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/dvd-rnoprint.html {DV3146}). It may be worth double checking the media code with customer services though. In the 'more info' section the code is given as ".RITEKG..04." however on the main page as ".RITEKG..04/M02".
Admittedly they are only 4x Ridisks but at £1.79 /10 pk they aren't a bad price (but the p&p will really hit you unless you buy in bulk!)
Gav.
PS. If you are ordering from here why not try out a sample pack of DVD's to see what media works best for you? (http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/dvdr.html) -
ok thanks for suggestion
always used svp in the past
but their current disks sub 30p dont seem to be up to much
have found some reasonably priced ty media
just trying to determine which of these 6 are the best media for the liteon 812 (burning data disks)

3 are probably my choice at present
5 look too good to be true ty media in uk for sub 20p -
Yeah, 30-50p per TY disk seems to be the norm (and is why I don't use them - I'm a tight northerner at heart!)
I've got a Pioneer DVR-108 myself but have had great results with FujiFilm dyes, although usualy use CMC and MCC dyes as these tend to be the norm for full-face printing.
Sorry I can't be any more help, and good luck...

i think your right
the tdk TTG02 are ok burns
not as good as the datasafe ritek g04s which i have always previously stuck with
will be ordering some of the fuji TY +Rs shortly
a mate of mine with same drive and firmware turned out this using a TY+R
-
then again nothing guarauntees a good burn
i found this using same drive and disk as me
liteon 832 TDK TTG02 media
and it has a near perfect burn
its mighty strange
i have tried burning at different sppeds and reading at different speeds but cant get results even close to this
-
just scanned my 4x burn at 4xread was fairly impressed by the results
will try a couple more at 4x burn
comparable results to the ritek g04s i used to use
if results stay consistent at this level of burn then will use the 50 TDK disks iv bought up before switching to TY
was contemplating selling them earlier and trying TY immediately
but nero scandisk says they are 100% readable
and pi/po/pif are ok
