    I don't know about portable players that support Nero Digital, in the Nero Digital website and on the section on Doom 9 there isn't any portable player. Anyway PSP support MPEG-4 ASP from memory stick, and there is a PSP profile in the latest version of Nero Recode 2.
    Maybe I will purchase it, it seems pretty good for the video (and there are memory stick of 512MB and also 1GB and 2GB). It support also AVC, but it seems only from Sony's UMD at the moment.

    Of course this is a solution, but a laptop isn't exactly a "portable" device.
