Hi
I want to do a "best of" collection of clips from my favourite DVDs (all original shop purchased ones before anyone flames me!).
I have Windows XP but no idea where to start!
Basically, I have several DVDs which I want to rip out only 30 seconds or so of the video and sound from each and combine them into one file which then can be played on any DVD player.
I have all the necessary hardware (eg DVD writer) and my system is more then capable hardware wise.
Can anyone please help, this is the first time I have ever attempted this kind of project so I need to know what software I need and basic tips on useage.
If it helps, I have DVD Shrink, Dr Divx, DVD Decoder, AC3, DIVX and XVID de/encoders.
I hope this doesn't count as piracy as I dont want to be banned or distribute copies of the DVDs at all, it's for personal use only
Cheers

Use dvdshrink, step 1 in https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/198813.php
Then join all those with dvd shrink(no menus but you can keep subs, several audio tracks, dts tracks), https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/198813.php#problems
