  1. i have the old parallel port dazzle that did mpeg 1 capture and that worked geat as a webcam in windows 98,me
but not xp.(used some nt driver to get it to capture video in xp but nothing sees it as a webcam source when running from xp).

i now have my dazzle 150 most programs show it in their list but almost non will run it? the only program that runs the dazzle 150 as a web cam is called VisionGS. that is a live webcam pogram for still updates and streaming.

i tried both the old drivers before pinnacle took over and the pinnacle drives. same old....

is there a way to get the dazzle 150 to work with netmeeting, yahoo, msn, and camfrog.

if not what are some good cheap devices to do the trick that run on xp and are usb?

Webcams mostly use older "video for windows" drivers.

Most XP compatible capture devices use WDM drivers.

If you can find a capture device that works with XP and supports "Netmeeting" then it will probably be detected as a webcam.
