Hi, I have hopefully a simple query about MTR. Is there a method through The Ripper to extract the Main Feature, and movie extras while NOT extracting the previews and commercials they insultingly place in DVDs?

    Thanks!

Read the PDF that came with the MTR.

Thanks for the RTFM response, but if the PDF covered this I wouldn't have asked the question here. I took out the previews using MTR, but it also removed the Extras. There is no documented way to take out one while leaving the other.

Then i dont think it can be done.

I always say read the PDF because nobody says they read the PDF that comes with MTR when they usually ask questions and that is always the first place to look.

do a disc copy in MTR.
then do the Cell extraction in DVD2ONEX.

MTR, AFAIK, doesn not do Cell Extraction(?)
( i'm sure if it does GB or WW will correct me.)

But I have always done cell extraction in DVD2ONEX,
after the rip outpput from MTR.

Using Cell Extraction, you can then select the main feature,
and any secondary features, and then format
this to VIDEO_TS, then burn in Toast.

    terryj -

since there's no preview window in DVD2ONEX, what's you're method for choosing the correct cells to extract?

  7. One way I use is Yade, which does have a preview window. I make note of the cells I want then select thoses in DVD2ONE leaving the rest unchecked. So far so good.

I have also used the join feature in DVD2ONE and tacked any extras on the end of the movie. This might be easier!!

    G13--
length of duration for main movie,
then playing the DVD in VLC will ususally
tell me/give me a hint of what extras I want
    by their chapters #.
