A, everybody.
Please help me as I am a newbie in need of help. I have the following DVD burner on my computer: Samsung TS-H552B. So far, I've burned onto Sony DVD-R 8x, FujiFilm DVD-R 8x, and Verbatim DVD-R 16x. The Sonys come out perfectly. The FujiFilms and Verbatims do the following: during the first 30 seconds to a minute, the screen on my TV displays broken video footage and it "skips" for lack of a better term. I was told that Verbatim makes some of the best discs, but I'm having problems with those along with the FujiFilm ones. Does anybody know why this is the case? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Start by making sure you have the latest firmware for your DVD writer - this may improve the drives capabilities writing to different types of media !
Check your drive against the DVD writers list on the left of this page and see what reviews it has regarding media. -
Also check your standalone in the list on the left to see what media is known to work or not work.
