  1. I have some avi files that work great until I encode to dvd format to burn on dvd. Once encoded the audio is slighty out of sync from the video. Is there a software that I can fix this with. I found some that fix mpeg but not dvd video.

Can you be more specific? When troubleshooting, more details means a better chance at solving the problem.

  5. Ok, I have an avi video file. When I watch it on my computer it plays good. The audio matches with the video. I take that file and load it into vso divxtodvd that encodes this to a dvd format which consist of the vob and other need files. Once in the dvd format, if I watch it on the computer the audio doesn't match up with the video, in which the timing is off. I was wondering how I can fix this.

  7. Save the Audio to (.WAV) in VirtualDub,and use that when you convert. The Audio you have might be VBR or damaged, when you load it into vso divxtodvd see if there is a message saying (Header Damaged) or somthing like that.

Yup, your AVI audio files are probably encoded in Variable Bit Rate MP3. This result is sync probs when you convert to MPEG. canadateck has the answer.
