Sure, lots of ways. Do a forum search for 'sync problems' and you should see quite a few. Check the length of the audio and video and see what they are. If the lengths are different, you adjust one or the other.

It's not going to be easy.

Two programs that might help are Hypercube Time Stretcher and SyncView. They can help adjust the sync alignment. Otherwise it is just often trial and error.

If the video was composed of clips that have differing sync problems, you would have to separate those out and adjust the sync individually for each, then put the audio back in and rejoin the clips together.

This can be a lot of work. Usually unless I desperately need the video, I just delete it and move on.

There are two main types of sync problems. In one the audio is longer or shorter than the video and you have to stretch it or shorten it. The audio would drift out of sync as the video plays.

The other type is when the audio starts too early or too late. You can add a delay or reduce the existing delay to try to correct this. The audio would stay at the same unsynced interval the whole time.

This is complicated by RM as there are few editors that can handle the video format easily.

I had this problem for months.

I finally fixed it by doing two things:
    1.) I eliminated unnecessary/redundant codecs (I now only have a VLC codec/player and a vista codec/decoder.
2.) I relocated the position of my computer to ensure that it did not get too hot or overheat.

    My problem has been resolved.

I'm sure that over the years, specific solutions will change with changes in technologies; but, it is often the case that problems, breakdowns, and questions remain the same. Perhaps, six years from now no one will know what a codec pack is; but, they might still understand that too many mechanisms working on the same task may, and often do, confuse and disrupt smooth operations, if they don't, in fact, cancel each other out.

Brain dead, walking dead, e-dead ... we might all benefit from a wake-up call.
