Now this is an easy question for probably a lot of you but since i dont use it and tried to, it never worked for me
OK, lets say i want the spill system have a max file size of 1900 mb per avi file ok.
I know when i put in a minimum of 50 and max of 1900.
For one, if i know that the file size altogether will be about 5.7gb, do i gotta make 3 thresholds?
Also, why when i make 50min and 1900max, it only displays 50 on there and whats with the priority?
After i exit out of it i do enable the spill system but it NEVER works.
Whats the problem?

Basically the spill system is designed to tell virtual dub how to save the segment files. If these answers aren't what your after I apologise, it's kind of hard to work out what you want to know
You set up the minimum and maximum, when the file reaches the max it starts a new segment, this new segment will automatically be at least 50MB so that you get a file all in one place (I assume), helping with dropped frame probs.
You only need to set up one spill system per DRIVE. The priority is there if you have several drives, for example you have a dedicated capture drive, and a drive with two partitions, one for system and another for data. You set your cap drive with the highest priority, as you want to put all you capture there, when that runs out it will go to the next drive, (your data partition), so that's the next lowest priority. Finally you'll have your system drive, which you don't want to use if possible, so this gets set low. I think this setting also applies if for some reason your hd isn't ready (heads in wrong posn or something), it will then go to the next drive down the list.
Now if your going to segment capture you need to set up a spill system, you have to set the path to C:\ or D:\ (depending on your drive letters), this is done by clicking in the blank space next to priority. Then you have to enable segmented capture. -
ok i have only 1 HD ok.
When i set it to 50 min and 1900 mb max, it displays the threshold as 50.
Should i change that to 1900 or would that make it think that the min and max is 1900?
Also, the spill system should work for 1 HD right?

the threshhold controls the drive's min freespace i.e. prevent the partition from filling up completely & crashing. the capture will switch spill drives or halt before violating this value
