  1. Hey all,

I have just had a bad weekend all thanks to Pinnacle Studio 9!

I had tried using Studio since I recieved a demo version with my ATI all-in-wonder and have made a couple of really crappy dvds. I liked some of the features that studio had but have continuously had a problem with audio and video sync. When the service patch came out for Studio I thought I would try it to see if it helped... guess what... it screwed up my multimedia center for the all-in-wonder and I could not watch Tv any more on my computer... Plus when I opened up studio, I was getting audio from the tv within the program!

Fustrated All to HELL I decided to get rid of Studio all together and even scrapped the existing projects I had on the Go!

Thats when all the fun started!

I used Pinnacles Uninstall program to take it off my computer... when I restarted, everything looked okay, until I went to record a TV program and started getting fatal error messages. I ran ATI's Diagnostic program and it said that there where now erorrs with my Audio clock speed, with my DMA etc. etc.

WHat the F__K did I do! (I thought).

I have spent the last 24hrs, uninstalling my ATI drivers and re-installing them and still had problems. I installed updated drivers and mutli-media center from ATI and Had Problems. But I think... God I hope... that I have got things back to Normal now... I just don't know how or what I did to do it.

I'm not sure Why this happend and believe me I will be letting ATI know about this problem I had... I love my all-In-wonder and you can't believe How my guts started to turn when I couldnt use anything related to the AW.

I should have know from the very many comments about Pinnacles software, on this boardand from my brother who works in the movie industry, not to use it and should to have gotten rid of that demon seed a long time ago.

Has anyone had a similar experience with this program? Is there something that maybe I could have done differently to avoid all of this?

Thanks for listening... and for any comments that you have.

    Cheers!

Remove everything ATI and reinstall the ATI card and ATI MMC. Toss that Pinnacle crap in the trash, and never bother with it again.
