Ok, so I want to get Downward Spiral on one of these formats. I have a Pioneer that plays both, so I'm not worried about that.
I have googled until my nose bled but I can't find comparisons between the 2 formats. I can find seperate reviews but not a comparison.
So, does anyone have a link or a personal review that can help me out? The dualdisc is much cheaper than the sacd, but if the sacd has absolutely great sound...know what I mean? I do like the fact that the dualdisc includes 3 vids and a bunch of bsides (or something of the sort) but I am afraid that these extra features have come at the price of lesser sound. I have read that the dualdisc (dvd side of course) is at 24bit/48 khz rather that 24/96. Does this make much difference from the Sacd version which, i guess, runs in a different manner that is foreign to me.
Please help. I don't care about the price difference (the sacd is about $10 more).

Hi,
This sounds like the DOLBY vs DTS battle. I would assume that you should base your decision on value added features. If you want the bonus materials get the dvda. If you want to stick to audio only go for the sacd. Your only true way to find out would be to buy both formats of the same album. Then and only then can you tell for yourself.

I thought DVDA was a physical impossibility? I have heard that some pics/movies do exist, though.

I personally think DVD Audio would be the route to go. I have quite a few of them and the sound is stunning.
