Prassi 2.0 with NEC ND3520A?

Ijust upgraded my Pioneer A014 to the NEC ND3520A. I've always used Prassi 2.x to burn DVDs because for a while Nero was unreliable. But now Prassi does not recognize the NEC as a "compatible recorder drive."

Is there an update or something that will let Prassi see the NEC, or is the software just too old now? I'd really like to be able to keep using it.

My research indicates that Prassi morphed into Record Now, of which there seem to have been many versions. Does Record Now have the stellar reputation Prassi once had? Is one version considered better than another?

It will also work for the NEC drive you have.

RNM 4.5 is a lot like Prassi PrimoDVD 2.0, a program I liked too.
I also, as you said, had to "move on".
Thankfully, because of the hacks, didn't have to move far.

I do not suggest this. It has a LOT of bugs.

My RecordnowMax 4.5 recognizes my nec 3520a w/o doing anything.
