I hope it's ok to ask this in this forum...
I notice that my dishnetwork pvr 500 recorder has an expansion connector on it.
This unit captures mpeg2 and the quality seems pretty darn good. What if it was possible to connect a pc to this expansion port or somehow directly to the disk drive and copy the mpeg2 right off the hard drive to the pc, instead of going s-video to a capture device.
This seems much better than spending countless hours capturing and converting.
Does anybody know if it is even possible to do this. Maybe someone can write a driver to allow this connection?
Any input please?
Thanks
