    Hi,

I'm really a newbie in this area and I have this question which I would like to ask :

I have video file which have a .mp4 extension. The thing is, I can only play it with DivX player. I can't play it using Media Player 10 or any other player.

I'm just wondering what sort of format this is and how I can go about converting it to dvd format.

Incidently, I've tried converting it to .avi format hoping that it'll play in Media Player 10 but no such luck.

Any input is much appreciated and sorry if I have posted something real stoopid

    Thanks !

This link to doom9 might give you some info on MP4. I've been confused about it before also.
