This is probably an elementary question --
I have about 100 songs on my hard drive, wma format. Each song is about 3 minutes long and about 3 mb (ballpark figures), ie, 300 minutes, 300 mb. When I try to burn the CD, I get a message that only about 25 songs will fit on the CD. 25 songs is only about 75 mb. Why can't I burn more than 75 mb onto a 700 mb capacity CD ?
If I can only get 25 songs on a CD, I'm thinking of buying an MP3 player (with much greater capacity than 25 songs) and connecting it to an external speaker. Good idea ?
Thanks.

Looks like you are trying to burn as an Audio cd. If you just want the WMA files on the CD, burn as a data CD.

My dvd player plays WMA files so I just burn my files to DVDrs and presto my whole Mp3/WMA collection on one disc(hehe..no need fo encoding). The only problem is its a little annoying to have to navigate around all the folders to play them. So, if I were you I'd just invest in a wma compatible dvd player.

Is there a limit to the amount of music files or folders that DVD players can read? My friends DVD player reads the DVD-Rs filled with MP3s, but chokes when trying to play them.
