Hi Everybody,
I'm a bit baffled here. I have converted some Divx movies to SVCD using TMPGenc (NTSCFILM template). WHen I burn them on CD using Nero and play them in my Pioneer 343, I get a Black and White screen on my TV. Image Quality is good, sound too, but the color is gone!
If I use the PAL template the color is ok, but the creen stutters as the original was NTSC.
Does anybody have an idea why I get a black and white image?

I had the same problem. My Pioneer 535 PAL/NTSC selector was set to "Auto". This means that it sends the same signal to the TV as the DVD is. So if I put a NTSC DVD in I had image problems (Black and white with red flashes) since the Pioneer gave an NTSC signal to the TV and my TV is not able to use it.
The simple solution was to set the output to PAL (a small switch at the back of the player). This means that the player always outputs PAL, even if the CD/DVD is NTSC. Hope this helps for you. -
Thanks for the reply, however the Pioneer 343 does not have a manual PAL/NTSC selector
There does noet seem to be one either in the software.
