I need to buy one DVD Recorder with Hard Disk with MANUAL CLOCK SETTING and MANUAL TIMER PROGRAMING. Here in Brazil the TV Guide and VCR+ are not avaliable, so the only way to timer programing is doing it manually. All manufactors talk about only TV Guide and VCR+, but i need to know what to do, when cable companies doesn't provide such systems. If anyone knows wich model can do manual clock and timer programing, please help me.
Thx!

All machines I'm aware of have the manual features you mention. Many offer VCR+, etc, too (as an option).
Pioneer & JVC both make excellent machines with hard drives. Check the links below.

I have had Panasonic for about a year and a half no problems so far. Pioneer is good, but not for VHS tapes to want to back up.
