  1. Hello!
I have this DVD-compliant MPEG-2 file that I would like to burn as standard DVD-movie. However, it contains a small glitch.
I believe these glitches are pretty usual type of flaws that can occur because one reason or another.

Anyway, the glitch comes as a short but loud sound-pop and then the picture becomes a bit pixelised / distorted on that point. Everything gets back to normal in about a second.

I was wondering if there is any way to remove or at least "soften" this glitch without actually cutting out the effected area (which would cause a visable / audiable skip of the video)?

    Thanks in advance!

Do you have access to the original video?

  3. If you use DVDLab Pro (there is a 30 day trial) there is a function in there that can skip a portion of a video file so that it will not play on the DVD. Supposedly it is seamless so the viewer can not detect it has been skipped.

  4. I don't understand. How can I skip a small portion of an MPG file without noticing it when playing back the same file after the editing???

What you are describing there looks like basically the thing that I do NOT want to do - cutting out the effected part.

There's no way you can fix the glitch so you can watch it,you can only cut it out with and editor such as womble or tmpgenc dvd author while authoring to dvd.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  6. Well, I was hoping there was a rendering process that at least softens the glitch a little bit. I wasn't hoping to remove it entirely.

The same way as you can remove pops and clicks from the sound I was hoping there was a way to do it with video. Cause this flaw here, in video-terminology, is kind of "video pop/click".
