I have spent the last 5 weeks working on 3 DVD demos. They are Cinematographer's Demo reels.

I would like to be able to do updates on these reels as new elements are provided to me.

I want to know if I can save the projects to CDR like any other file is burned to CDR. Then when I have to update these DVD projects, just load these DVD Architect files back onto my computer, and redo the m2v files with new material. Thus keeping all the same titles and menu setup, just new video clips (and chapters of course). I plan on backing up the avi's to DV tape, and dumping the encoded versions compleatly. I would imagine the saved DVD Architect projects would conatin everything except these encoded m2v strips, no?

I could simply try this. But I thought I would ask the experts first, as I would hate to lose my work because I failed to do this right.

    Thanks in advance as usual.

theoretically possible, so long as you can always recreate all the elements exactly, in the correct locations, every time. If these are important (and they seem to be) and are going to be updated fairly regularly, then a cheap external HDD enclosure and a 120gb HDD might be a better solution. Plug it in, migrate your projects across to it, then disconnect and store. Time for a change ? plug it back in, add some new assets, tweak, put it back in the cupboard.

well, there is a place in the navigational area of dvda where you can select a different destination link. It changes the play movie for the button link. This is all I would have to do, is creat a new m2v, and attach it to the button in old project. And of course save any menu graphics as well.

I do think an external HD is also a good suggestion, thx.
