I recently replaced my MicroStar DVD Dual 4x writer with the Pioneer 109 16x and also got the Pioneer 122 DVD-Rom. I downloaded the 1.4 firmware and since then burning CDRs has been a slow process, at least 3 or 4 times slower. I use Instant Copy SE and it has never been instant but quicker than it is now. What can I do to at least get back to where I was before that firmware download? DVD writing is a bit faster using Decrypter and Shrink because I am using Ritek 8x discs which are recognised as such but only record at 6x.
