I have some AVI Divx movies of TV shows that I want to get onto DVD. I tried the VSO DivxtoDvd converter but it failed and wouldn't convert them.

So I used Adobe Premier Elements and just popped the AVIs onto a DVD and let it make a DVD. 12 hours later I have the crappiest piece of sh!t looking DVD i've ever seen. Quality is horrible and jumpy and it's completely unacceptable.

I'm not sure if my DVD player can play DivX type movies or not so could I theoretically just copy the AVI files directly to a DVD and see if it will play them? Or are there other programs that work well to do this? According to GSpot they are Divx 5 encoded.

Or maybe I have to make an SVCD disc instead... Just not realy sure where to start.

    Thanks

Why not try this novel idea! See Convert under How To in the left panel? Click on that. Select input and output format with the "Format Conversion:" dropdown (in this particular case DivX to DVD). Click "Search or list guides" button. Start reading.

    Hi,

Out of curiousity, what error did you run into with DivxToDVD by VSO, if you got an error at all?

    How did it fail?

    Thanks
