  1. Hi,
I'm trying to do the obvious - I think - I have ripped my video collection to 1.3TB of HDD. I'm using DVD Juggler to act like a video jukebox and all is good.

However, I have been anxiously awaiting mac tiger, so I can convert the TS-Folders to MPEG4 H.264, in an attempt to maintain a high level of quality and significant file size reduction.

I have not found a way to do it. I have tried FFmpeg, but I can only get an AVI with h.264, which QT 7 won't read.

I've tried Handbrake and that gave me a good MP4 file, but could not pass-through the 5.1 audio, unles I use AVI. Which would likely give me the same QT 7 problem as before....

I'm either doing something wrong, or there has to be another way?

    Please help/Advise

    Many thanks,
    Nick

  2. If you use ffmpegX you can only put H.264 in an AVI container for now, due to current mencoder limitations. This will improve in future versions.

  3. Thanks!
Do you know when that will be?
    Can you suggest another method?

    Thanks again,
    Nick

  4. I don't know today when that will be, but I don't think it should need geologic ages. For now I don't know of any other method.
