    Hi,
I have a number of AVI and MPG's I wish to post on the internet, but do not wish to release them unless they have my site name labelled on them for copyright purposes.

I have seen this on many movie files, but have no idea what software is required. I would like the end file to be an AVI or MPG.

I would also prefer if the file does not loose much (or any quality) when the text is being overlayed on the file.

Hope you can help. thanks in advance.

if you add text or logo over the entire film it will require reencoding of the entire clip.

If you framserve with AVISynth you can use the subtitle filter. That is assuming that you just want text and not some kind of site logo.

    That's a good guide
    If in doubt, Google it.
