I have this unit (UK model) and am quite happy with it. However, I want to record the audio from a concert tape, and keep the quality as high as possible. In order to do this I was intending to record the concert to DVD with pcm audio, then rip this to my hd and edit/split tracks etc. However, reading the manual and the website it appears that audio recording for DVD is only mp2. Is this correct or am I missing something?
If it is right, I suppose my other option is to record it directly to 2 audio cds (1hr 44 min show) and then edit the 2 discs to get the break in a suitable place.
Also, is there a specific connection set-up I should have in order to record in stereo? Currently the vhs is connected just with a scart lead, however in order to retain stereo on this recording I will purchase whatever leads are necessary.
Thanks
