I have been using TMPGenc for a year or so, with excellent results. Remember the old quote, don't fix what isn't broken? Well, I did. I have an old AMD K6-2/350 processor, I have a Studio DC10+ card and a dedicated 30gig drive, running under Win98 first ed. I decided to upgrade to 2nd edition. The thing crashed, so I wiped the drive clean, reformatted, and reinstalled the new OS and all my software, exactly like it was, but cleaner. I am doing everything exactly the same, but now, TMPGenc is crashing like crazy. It just locks up the system and I have to reboot. Not any particular file, and not at any particular time. I am using Version 12b if that means anything. I am using the older version because it reads the mjpeg codec, whereas some of the newer versions don't. Anybody have any ideas? I am going crazy!! Please help!!

You need to change your Direct X drivers.
Either get 7.1 or 8.0a
