  1. Hello there everyone! I tried ripping a DVD the other day. I used dvd decrypter to rip it into a series of vob files. Then I heard after that that you should use VirtualDubMod to convert to avi first before encoding, but I didn't know this, so instead I loaded the vob into mpeg-vcr and segmented out what I wanted and encoded it on the fly from 720x480 to 352x480 while segmenting out the video I wanted. Now I get lots of aliasing and breakup on the images on high motion scenes on certain clips. Some clips are better than others, but other than the aliasing which is the worst problem, there is this annoying series of very light hard-to-see vertical grid like patterns which constantly flashes on the screen. The aliasing and breakup of the images is the real problem, so I was wondering if anyone could give me some help. Thanks!

  2. Actually it's not just high motion scenes, even when the video is still, the aliasing and breaking up will come in and out, kind of like it gets fuzzy, and then goes back to clear quality again. So it's whenever, and pretty random.
