I've done some searching on the forum and haven't been able to arrive to a conclusive answer, so I'm hoping that someone can lead me out of the valley of darkness to the path of enlightenment.

First, I'll start with my hardware:

Source: Dish Network PVR-510 via S-Video output
Capture Device: Plextor PX-AV100U via USB 2.0 (no hub)

Computer:
Dell Dimension 3000
Pentium 4/HT 3.0Ghz Processor / 800MHz FSB
1GB DDR RAM
GEForce 5200FX 128MB Video Card
160GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2

DVD Burner:
MadDog 16x Dual-Layer via USB 2.0 (no hub)

DVD Media:
iMation 4X DVD+RW 4.7GB

Capture Software:
InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2.0

Destination DVD player: Yamaha DV-S5750
Destination TV: Toshiba Cinema Series 27" CRT via component video (not progressive)

The issue that I'm having is that when I play back video on either my computer or TV, I get very jerky video. The effect can be best noticed with scenes having a lot of action or with animated captures such as The Simpsons.

The video is playing at full speed, but the motion itself seems to be stuttery and not very fluid. Audio and video synch are OK. The effect is much less noticable on the PC.

This has occured on VCD, SVCD, and DVD media as well as the DivX items I've made as well.

I am wondering if this is some sort of interlacing issue, since the forums I've searched seem to indicate either interlacing or some sort of MPEG header type issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
