  1. Hi,
My Samsung 611 doesn´t accept my svcd-discs. I´ve tried a lot of different ways to burn them (with nero), but they just won´t work. It takes vcd-discs occasionally though. I´m tired of it now and it has to go. So, what stand alone player should I buy? It must accept all kind of movie formats. Anyone?
    TIA

  2. I went with the Apex ad-500. Plays everything you could possibly put in it.

  4. I've been doing some research now and it looks like Pioneer is the best brand to go with. The DV-444 seems like a pretty good choice, EXCEPT for the fact that it won´t accept subs... Is that true, or is there a way around that, like a hack or software upgrade? Have any of you guys any experience with Pioneer (any model) and subs? I would really appreciate an answer!
    TIA/simme

Pioneers make a good choice of player. They accept many different formats and also have decent quality playback. I have an older model but have never had any beef's with it.
