  1. Can anybody tell me what program I can use to convert DVDs to WMV video? I want to backup my DVDs with the highest quality as possible. I've tryed a few programs but I can't seem to get them to a higher quality. If I can know what program can get me resolution of 720x480 that will be great.

  2. Use DVDx to convert to MPEG-2,720x480,44.1kHz then use Windows Movie Maker or Windows Media Encoder.

I'm using DVDx to convert DVD video segments to SVCD format and then convert them to WMV with AVS Video Converter, but I want to include the subtitles in them -- These are songs from Indian movies and the subtitles would be nice to have since I don't speak Hindi. The subtitles show up in the Input setup screen, but they're not being output in the final mpg file. I'm checking 'original colors' but I don't know what 'offset' should be set to. Any suggestions?

Use TMPGEnc Xpress to go straight from DVD to WMV.
