  1. Has anyone watched the Fast Times at Ridgemond High DVD: Special Edition? They remastered the sound but to me it sounds like they re-did it with the volume to low because the voices sounds kind of weak with some air in the speakers. Did anyone else notice that or is it just me?

I'm sure they did use the masters for the remix. But if the film is shot in mono there's only so much you can do.

Is the original mono mix not on the disc?

  6. I think the intent of the SE was to restore the nudity that the director wanted in the film originally but the studio decided against the audience seeing a full frontal nude male.

I haven't checked out the SE, but I recall the female director often being outspoken on how the studio had double standards about male and female nudity...and how she fought to keep that scene in there.

Yeah, my disc of withnail and I has a 5.1 and mono mix, the mono is much better IMO, dialogue is a lot clearer.

  11. yeah, since it was originially recorded in mono I figured that was the problem. They did a really bad job though, and there is no mono option. In fact, it's so bad that I'm proabably going to buy the old DVD version instead. Sigh....what a waste of a double layer dvd+r.

On a side note.....what's better- that actress Phobe or that awsome Z28 Camaro the football player had?
