I have some problems with burning cd-rw's. It seems that my Teas cd-writer kills all the RW. I took another cd writer and installed it in my PC and it also destroys cd-rw's. Everything seems to burn perfect, but while checking for writing errors Nero finds some kind of problem. I attach below my log file from Nero, maybe you could find a solution to my problem.

Disks burned not on my computer play properly on my PC. THe ones that I burn myself become a permanent trash.
-
They're RW's. Erase and reuse, don't toss.
You need to finalize the disk, and you cannot use multisession, if you're trying to burn video (S)VCD.Cheers, Jim

How old are the disks? I have a few 3-year old disks that couldn't be burned properly anymore. One of them was really badly scratched the other one was barely scratched at all. I just bought some new one's any everything's all good.

With the price of CD-R, why not just copy to CD-R instead of burning a CD-RW at 2x? Which leads me to my next issue... I tend to agree with the above poster's solution. Sounds like your media is totally old. Your burn speed was only 2x. Do you have DMA mode activated for your burner?

Supposedly if you can't erase it and you really want to, leave it out face up in the sun all day, or was it a couple of days to erase disc.

Now I'm sure it's the problem with the cd-writer. I took it to my friend's house and it also killed a cd-rw and some cd-r''s. Now it seems to kill cd-r's when burning them with speed greater than x16. Under Windows 98 everything is perfectly burned. Fortunatelly I have two hdd's at home, one with 98 and the other one with XP, so that's not a great problem form me.
