  1. i made a dvd with mpg's (TV shows) on it and i want to get them off. how can i get them back onto my pc?

    If they were just burned as data, then you can just copy and paste them wherever you want them. If they were burned in DVD format, then you will have to rip them as jimmalenko stated above.

    um i think VCDGear mite be able to or if their burned as .mpg you can simply copy paste them off.

  5. i used TMPGEnc DVD Author to make a dvd (VCD MPEG2) and i burned it to a dvdr. then i deleted the vcd MPEG 2's off my PC, but i need to get them back on the PC in the same format (VCD MPEG2)

    what program do i need to get them back on my PC?

    Since they don't contain a CSS "cracking" requirement, you can just drag-and-drop them to your harddrive, then demux them.

    You don't have to "rip" them, but most of the rippers will demux the data you selected into separate M2V and audio files, so using a ripper is sound advice.
