  1. I just bought the Video mate TV gold + card and I are able to record my TV shows and I’m recording them in mpeg 2. But when I try to burn them on a DVD it doesn’t work, or when it does I can’t read the DVD on my home DVD or on my computer. I think I need to break the file in two video and audio then use TmpGenC. So what program could break my mpeg2 file in 2, video and audio?

Are the specifications of your files DVD compliant? If you're not sure check "What is DVD" on the left side of this page and compare to your files. You can check your files with Gspot or avicodec.

If your files are dvd spec, then what procedure and programs are you using to author them to disk? If you're not sure about that then check "Author" on the left side of this page.

If you still need to "demux" your files (but I doubt it) you can use the mpeg tools in TMPGEnc.

  3. Yeah, mpegs are authored or "compiled" into dvd structrue and not typically split. mpeg is a video/audio stream of your capture. The compiling program creates the appropriate vobs, bups, ifos, of the mpeg for dvd burning.

  4. Thank you very much guy's for your responses! It is much appreciated. I have finally managed to burn my mpeg2 TV clip's using Nero vision. It’s by far the simplest of them all. And I didn’t hade to split nothing, hehe. But now my only problem is that my audio is off sync. So I will try to surf the forum to see witch program I need.

  5. Try Dvd Lab. 30 days free trial.
When importing your mpeg demux the file when it asks you to. This will give you separate video and audio streams that get put back together (muxed) when compiling to dvd. At least you might find out if Nero is the problem or not.
