i have analog and digital cable i recorded a show on the analog channels using SP quality and HQ video quality.
i noticed the picture was smooth as silk and noise free all the noise from analog cable was completely gone!!!![]()
and the analog recordings looked just as good and if not better than the true digital channels i usually record on!!..![]()
SP and HQ both look the same to me even on the analog cable channels.
so what kinda of filtering device does the ilo use that cleans up the picture so amazingly well![]()

yeah I know, have you tried recording old vhs tapes to SP quality? It definately looks better than hooking up the vcr to the tv with the best cable I have (s-video). It really does clean it up on SP. Talking about recorded movies, it seems like regular commercial vhs tapes dont benefit as much, but there is still improvement.
