    I am trying to create an autostart xvid from a dv source and have a couple of questions. I see there are four options to choose the size when using virtualdub. It is like 600+ mb 700+ mb 1.somthing gb and something else. I am assuming that I would use the 700+ mb option for a 800mb CD.

    Also I am trying to make this totally self contained autorun CD. I heard I could use a program named Videolan that would be able to open this XVID without installing an XVID codec on the users computer. I would have to put this Videolan program on the CD and open up the XVID this way. Does anyone know what how to do this and how to make the autorun script.

  2. Create an AUTORUN.INF with the command line for VideoLan something like:

    ----------contents of AUTORUN.INF

    [AutoRun]
    open=VideoLan FILENAME.AVI

    ----------end of AUTORUN.INF

    Then include the VideoLan program, your AVI and the AUTORUN.INF in the root of the CD. I don't know VideoLan -- I'm assuming you can just put its file(s) in the root and it will run without an installation.

    I would suggest mplayer instead.
    "mplayer.exe -fs input.avi" to play fullscreen.
