guitarman can help you out with that if he shows up, theres a link to his hacked firmware site on that page I linked.
But what I did was download whatever firmware I needed from the official www.liteonit.com website, you have to input your serial number and date of manufacture and it will give you the firmware you need. then on guitarmans page, theres a program that automatically hacks it for you.

I installed this on my 5005 and it works great. It gets rid of Microvision and also adds a 3-hour recording mode which is nice to have also.

Make sure you are on the correct part of LiteOn's site. You are looking for the 5005 firmware. It's this that you run through the hacker software. It will then store the hacked version in a directory underneath the one where you have the orginal file. Be carful to use the one that has been hacked, not the original.

There is only one file to download. You select the one at the bottom based on your serial number structure. It will be like only one of the choices that you see. At the next screen after you click on the one that matches your serial number structure, you will be asked to enter the serial number before the download starts.

Please download this file for system update: LNFA1098.ES5.0102.184x.zip

After system firmware upgrade (if any), please download this file for drive firmware update: LNFA1000.E30.0102.184x.zip

Please note that update system firmware should be done first before you update drive firmware.
This is to prevent some drive update issues.

I got two files as well, in fact I asked a long time ago which one to install or whatever somewhere on these boards, I'll look later tonight. But from what I remember, the system update is the only one that was hackable. Use the program on guitarmans that hacks it automatically, install the hacked system update, be sure to remember to use the hacked one, it will be saved somewhere on your harddrive. Then after you install that into your dvd recorder, install the official drive firmware. It wont overwrite your new hacked features or anything.
