  1. I have a Voodoo3 3000, 16 mb sdram, AGP, and I'm working under Windows 2000 right now. I have the newest drivers for the card. Whenever I use the TV/out on the Voodoo, I get these kind of white bands that float from the bottom to the top of the TV. It's the same effect that you get when you video tape a working monitor, and watch the tape afterwards. It's even accompanied by this kind of low level white noise. This happens with all the players that I use.

Can anybody tell me a solution to this problem (other than getting a new card) or is this simply something I have to live with if I plan to use TV/out ....?

  2. No you shouldnt have to live with it! Im using the 3000AGP and mine is fine the quality when outputting movies is very good and im not getting any lines like you say.

Im not sure how to cure you problem though but there definatly should be a fix unless there is something wrong with the card.

    Cheers,
    Mike

  3. Hi,
I have the same problem sometimes.
This problem is cause for the damage or bad quality of the video cable that your using. Sometimes is the RCA to Voodoo adaptor.
Try to check your connection and cables.

    It's worked to me!
    Hope this help

  4. Hi, I had the same problem
But after I change my RCA cable to a better one (thicker and more expensive) it significantly reduce the annoying band.

You can see the band if you really really really pay attention to it, not otherwise.

    hope it helps

porbably EMF. move the video cable as far away from power/video cables/transformers as possible. obviously a bit hard, as its coming from a pc, but worth trying. a common culprit is the transformer in your speakers, or any trasnformers plugged into a multi adaptor which the cable runs past. if you still have a problem, buy an a/v shielded cable. i think nordost do them.
