  1. Hi...I'm Caesar,and here's my problem...
I've been trying for soooo long to put a custom mark on .vob files that I have but I couldn't..and finally I've found a way...but I faced a big problem..
    Here is what I've done:
1-First I decrypted my dvd movie using DVD_Decrypter that gave me (m2v,.ac3,.dts files)

2-I put a custom mark using VirtualdubMOD and Donald Graft's logo filter as it was written
    in jimmalenko's guide:

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=248307

and the problem was when I tried to save the filtered vob file as (AVI) because when the
size of the output file exceeded the 4gigabytes a massage appeared telling me:

    ((((( Size of a file can't exceed 4gigabytes on a FAT32 partition ))))...

So can any body tell me what I have to do to solve this problem...because if I solved it
I'll be able to make a complete dvd movie with my custom mark on it using DVD-Lab Pro
    and WINAVI-Converter
And I'm gonna make a guide for this...

    THANKS A LOT GENIUSES... (( CAESAR ))

    Either:
Encode to some compressed AVI format
    or
Upgrade to NTFS file system (Windows NT/XP)

But really - is putting a logo on the video really worth encoding (=reducing quality) twice?

If you are using DVD Lab Pro, you could use a forced subtitle and include your mark as a subpicture.

Or frameserve the video for re-encoding either via VirtualDubMod or AVISynth. That way you don't have a huge intermediate avi.

well I don't mean to defy you but as I know that even the forced subtitle
can be removed by any advanced user...
you know that I've tried it and the subtitle has gone when I opened
the vob files that I've made directly from the disc without playing the menus...
in addition...DVD Decrypter removed the subtitles when I ripped the disc with it...((so I don't think that it became a part of the main video))
SO please tell me exactly...did you mean another thing in your nice reply
and I don't understand...please tell me if your way can make the subtitles a part of the video...
AND ANY TIPS FROM YOU WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I never said it was fool proof, but it will beat the casual viewer, and save you re-encoding. What do you have that is so precious people will want to copy it ?

  7. well I have a dvd movie that I made to test
the difference between dts and DD...
I put a so many chapters full of special effects just
to recognise the difference between them....
and I'm gonna give it to every one that's selling
sorround systems..so I'm afraid that some people will try to steal my work...by removing the subtitle
that I put in the whole movie with my name..
and it will happen..because it's a kind of legal thing In SYRIA

Given there are at least three different plugins for vitualdub, and a few seperate programs as well, that can remove watermarks etc., you are on a hiding to nothing.

Having said that, convert your HDD to NTFS (if running Win2K or XP) or upgrade to an NTFS capable OS, or compress the hell out of it so it fits under 4GB.

  9. You could save it as a Segmented AVI, many progs will correctly load and deal with the sequentially numbered files. Or just frameserve to your encoder.
