  1. I just got started in doing this stuff and have had success so far except that everytime I get the finished mpg file its always just over 700 megs. I followed the newbie guide and get like 732 MB files for each half. Thanks

  2. so what's the problem? roughly 796mb will fit on a 80min cdr unless you're converting to divx. one can only guess

  3. well on the cd-r it says 700 MB so i figured it would be too much, is the file size ok then?

    When burning VCD, SVCD and Audio CD you can fit 80 minutes (About 800 megs) on a 700 megs cd...
    That's about 740 megs VCD on a 650 megs cd...

    It's the audio length that decides the length/size of VCD SVCD and audio CDs
