Hey all.
I'm thinking twice now about buying a plain jane DVD recorder without a hard drive but then again I wasn't interested in paying the extra $300 to $400 for it. I have the Sony RDR-GX300. There's always a way around things so I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of a way to do this. Thanks for everyone's time and have a great weekend!

Wow, I dunno... What about the user interface? You added a hard drive, now what? You still need an OS.

Pioneer has some nice models with hard drives. All my stuff is pioneer or panosonic and I never have any problems with either brand.
I believe you can get good recorders to hook up through firewire or usb to your pc to store, edit, author independently.
