Hi, I just bought a DVD burner and decided to burn some video files. However i am having a couple of problems
1. I have 6 .vob files that take only 3.8 GB total and burn allright using Nero express and play on the dvd player. Howvwer, when i use Vision Express to do the DVD with Menus i find out that I can only fit 2 of the files in the dvd, I don't understand how i can put all the files into one DVD, where there should be plenty of space left to fit any menu content
2. When i burn only two of those files the quality is good but there is no sound i have tried various dvd palyesr and there is no sound from any of them
On another note what's the best way to convert a 14 GB DV file (captured from a dv camera) to a smaller format .avi or smth else
Sorry for the length of the post

For conversion, look in the "How To" section over on the right<<< under...you guessed it "convert".
I don't use Vision Express, so I can't say what the program is doing to make it not work. My guess would be that it is reencoding. If Nero is working, just stick with that. Also, the sound is in the vob files, if you don't burn them all on the same disc, they don't work.
You could extract the audio and video from the VOB's and start from scratch.Google is your Friend -
Answer to question 1:
Burning an ISO image with DVD Shrink and burning with DVD Decrypter may produce better results. Both applications .... FREE.
