  1. Hi guys,

I am a little bit confused here. It is stated at the conversion tutorials that in order to avoid out of sync audio, one should save the audio track as wav prior to converting, using VirtualDub to do that.
    And then what?
If I am using TMPGEnc, for example. Should I select my source system file as video input, and the extracted wav track as the audio input? Or should I demux the video prior to converting too?
Do I need to use the mux tool at all?

    Thanks for your help,
    Pedro

  2. Sorry, I have just seen the answer at the tutorial page.
My mistake? Or has it been updated lately?
    Anyway...

  3. Another question:
my source material is in .wma format, and VirtualDub won't open it.
    Any idea on a workaround?

    Tks,
    Pedro

  4. Just convert the movie in 20 minute sections in tmpgenc, the first time you convert. Use the 'source range' command. Then the audio only gets a little out of sync, before going back into synch. The diff is so small its unnoticable. If the original file is out of sync to begin with there is an 'audio sync' command to put it back in in the 'source range' section.

Then just burn the 3 sections as tracks 1,2,3 and you have chapters

  5. Okay... I used the same email because the proposed solution is the same, but in the case of .wma files, the problem is not out of sync audio, but missing audio for some periods of time. So, I guess I should really extract the audio portion prior to converting.
But thanks anyway for the tip.
