I have bought this player 3 months ago... It can play VCDs using CD-RW media up to a bitrate of 1240 kbps, but it refuses to play any SVCDs. Even if it starts playing them, it is very jerky and stops now and then.

So I asked Thomson why it doesn't play it (because in the manual it says it does). And here is the letter:

DEAR Sir,

We have received your e-mail and we thank you for your
interest in THOMSON.
Concerning your query , the DTH4000 does not play any SVCD
but only if it is original .

Has anyone managed to play SVCDs with it and if so what settings did u use and how did you burn, etc.
