  1. I would like to copy a DVD to SVCD and include the subtitles. But, one of my dvd players does not support SVCD subs, so, if possible, i would like to make it so the subtitles are "combined" with the image and are therefore unremovable. This is okay with me because the only subs in this movie are translations when people speak other languages...

    anyways...
anyone know how to do this? what program(s) should i use?

I would prefer to use TMPGEnc to do the conversion (which i am able to with DGIndex)

  2. DVD2SVCD and TMPG as encoder.
BTW there are two types of selectable subtitles for SVCD - one type is SVCD the other is CVD. My player doesn't show SVCD type, but it is quite happy with CVD type. So it is worth to try.

  4. I am currently downloading DVD2SVCD.
Will this allow me to use permanent subtitles? I would really like to have the subtitles be encoded as part of the actual image, so I don't have to worry about my player(s) being able to display them. also, if i should choose to convert to AVI or some other format...

*edit - Disregard the question. I found the option I was looking for. This should work...

    thanks.
