  1. I have bought a D-Link DBT 900AP bluetooth access point, which I have connected to my wireless router.

I am having problems connecting my bluetooth devices to the access point.

I can pair my P900 mobile phone to the access point, but I cant gain network access for browsing the internet. If I pair my phone to my laptop (which is connected to the internet via my wireless router) I can browse the internet on my phone no problem.

If I try and connect my laptop to the bluetooth access point, I get the error message "error creating network access point service connection with device DBT-900AP"

    Any suggestions.

  2. I know with some hardware the connection is limited to ONE only. My Moto A630 can only be connected to 1 BT device at a time which , means I can connect my phone to my BT headset but not at the same time as my BT USB adapter..

Not sure what the problem is, but i know that you can connect up to 7 devices with bluetooth simultaneously.

  4. Yes the info on the bluetooth access point says you can connect 7 devices. The literature that comes with it is pretty sparce though. If I try to connect my phone I briefly get the <> arrows showing that it is connected, but then it drops out to just the < arrow showing that it is discoverable.

  5. Hello Craig,

I had a lot of problems connecting my Nokia 3650 to my PC via Belkin Bluetooth dongle. Finally got it working by following these steps:

    a) Removed the previously installed Belkin Bluetooth s/w
    b) Rebooted PC for good measure
    c) Started installing the s/w again. I found that the s/w installs beautifully on XP/SP1 (my home desktop) but SP2 (my laptop) gave problems saying unrecognized signature/vendor etc.
    d) The bluetooth dongle must not be connected when starting installation. Late during the installation, it asks the device to be connected and at that time the proper drivers are loaded.
    e) Pairing the device to the phone was done with a bit of retries. I have saved the settings as authorised on my PC/Laptop and Phone. The pairing code is usually '0000'.
    f) I installed the 3650 connectivity suite later. Once the pairing was done, the connections stayed and I was able to sync the phone and PC.

You may try to uninstall and re-install again. HTH.

    Regards,

If anything give D-Link tech support a call. I had to talk to them several times when I first got my wireless router because it was fighting with the modem but they were very helpful. One of the better customer service call centers I've talked with. Dunno if it'll be the same for the UK division though.
