    Hi everyone.

Right now I'm using an old Speedstream 5200 ADSL modem and a Kaiomy access point, so my mom can use internet on her notebook anywhere in the house.
The problem is that she is going to the beach house for the next three months and I need to buy new stuff.
So I'm planning on installing the mentioned modem and access point on the beach house and buy new ones for me.
Can anyone suggest a good modem+access point? Think it's better to buy a single hardware than buy separate.
I can easily find the DLink DSL-2640T here, but I'm not a DLink fan.
If you guys can suggest other models, that would be great.
    Thanx.

I'll assume the Speedstream modem and Kaiomy router will work OK in the new location. A lot depends on your DSL provider. You should check with them and see what models are acceptable for their system, at least for a modem. For a router, most all are acceptable. I would go for a Ethernet output modem if possible. USB modems can be limited, especially with a router. I use D-Link, but I understand. Some other manufacturers that are popular are Netgear, Linksys, Belkin and quite a few others. You didn't say if you need wireless as that would be another group. But the mention of 'anywhere in the house' makes me think wireless.

The Buffalo routers are also popular. It depends what you have available in your location.

Of course, there's a lot more to all this. Check with your ISP and see what their recommendations are.

It will work in the new location. The DSL provider is the same.
I want to keep wireless here because sometimes my girlfriend brings her notebook when she comes for the weekend. But I'll keep my computer connected with cable, as I do now.
My ISP will recommend DLink, I'm sure of it
I will check if I can find Belkin or Buffalo here. Netgear and Linksys I know I'll find.
    Thanx.
