I have converted an AVI from PAL to NTSC.
There is also a .srt subtitle file that seems to be synced when I play the original PAL AVI.
I then authored the NTSC files (m2v and ac3) using DVD Author.
During this process I included the original (PAL) .srt file and specified that it was 25 fps.
When I play back the resulting NTSC ISO the subtitles start at the correct time but the duration that they are displayed has been significantly shortened.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

    Thank you.

  2. It depends of the method of conversion. If the duration of the video doesn't change, better specify the subs as 23.976 as srt are time based. If the duration change, but you have the same frame count convert the subs from 25 srt (time based) to 25 sub (frame based) and also put 23.976

Thank you. I will take a look at that.
