I'm not sure what these are. I know how to use them and that they are created using dvd2avi and dgindex. But are they a link to the VOB it was created from (because the d2v are so small)? After you create a d2v can you delete the VOB used for input or not? I would guess not.

You guess right. d2v are text files with information about the content of the vobs. Right click on d2v and open it with text editor to see what is there. What are these values I don't know exactly.
