  1. I have a movie encoded in xvid the audio codec is 0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3 in other words its a VBR so whenver i seperate the audio from the movie into wav and compile it in tmpgenc with the video the MPG file which is encoded is out of sync. how do i fix this.
    i even tried loding it in goldwave same thing happns

    I use virtualdubmod to save out as uncompressed wav, then encode to AC3 2.0 in Vegas. Never have sync problems. When saving out from virtualdub/mod, always use full processing mode, and save to uncompressed LPCM. 90 minutes gives around 900+MB. Any less and you are compressing somewhere.

    Another good method of extracting the audio from the AVI is to load the AVI into GOLDWAVE then save it as a PCM WAV audio file.

    Then you can go ahead and convert it to AC-3 or MP2 or whatever your target audio format is to be.
